Cookie Policy
Last Updated: February 19, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how OTW SRL (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It also explains your choices, including how to accept, reject, or manage non-essential cookies. This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.
OTW SRL is an online education provider. Our programs and workshops are delivered online and available across Canada. Our registered office address is Via Egadi, 7, 20144 Milano, Italy, and our contact email is [email protected].
1) What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies allow a website to recognize your device, remember preferences, and support features such as security, session continuity, and analytics.
Cookies are not the only technology used to support these goals. We may also use similar tools, such as pixel tags (sometimes called “pixels” or “beacons”), SDK-based identifiers in advertising environments, and server-side measurement that uses request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) to understand traffic and conversion events. When these tools are used for analytics or marketing, they are controlled by the same consent choices described in this policy.
2) Cookie lifespans and origins
Cookies can be grouped by how long they last and who sets them:
- Session cookies last only for the duration of your browser session and are typically removed when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period (for example, 90 days or 12 months) unless you delete them earlier through browser settings.
- First-party cookies are set by our website’s domain.
- Third-party cookies are set by other domains (for example, analytics or advertising providers) when their tools are enabled.
3) Cookie categories we use
Our website uses three categories of cookies. Essential cookies are always active because they are needed for the website to function. Analytics and marketing cookies are optional and are activated only if you give consent through our cookie banner or preferences panel.
A) Essential cookies (always on)
Essential cookies support core website functionality and security, including session continuity and storing your cookie choices. Because these cookies are required for the website to operate reliably, they cannot be switched off through our cookie preferences panel. You can still delete them through your browser, but doing so may affect the site’s functionality.
B) Analytics cookies (consent required)
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay on a page, and how visitors arrive (for example, from a search engine or an ad). We use this information to improve educational content clarity, navigation, and performance. When enabled, analytics may be provided by Google Analytics 4 (GA4). We configure analytics in a way intended to reduce identifiability, such as IP anonymization where available in the implementation.
Analytics cookies are disabled by default for visitors who have not provided consent. You can change your choice at any time using the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer.
C) Marketing cookies (consent required)
Marketing cookies are used to measure advertising performance and to show relevant messages to people who have visited our site. These tools can help with conversion attribution (for example, understanding whether an ad led to a contact form submission) and remarketing (for example, showing follow-up ads to visitors who viewed a program page). When enabled, marketing cookies may be set by providers such as Google Ads and Meta.
Marketing cookies are disabled by default unless you choose “Accept All” or enable marketing cookies in the preferences panel. You can withdraw consent at any time, and we will respect the updated choice going forward.
4) Cookie table
The table below lists the cookies commonly used with our site configuration. Some cookies may only appear if you consent to their category and if the relevant provider tools are enabled in our implementation.
| Name | Purpose | Category | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _site_session | Site session continuity | Essential | First-party | Session |
| cookie_consent | Stores your consent choice | Essential | First-party | 12 months |
| _ga | GA4 user identifier | Analytics | Third-party | 2 years |
| _ga_XXXXXXXXXX | GA4 session state (10-char GA4 ID) | Analytics | Third-party | 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads conversion linker | Marketing | Third-party | 90 days |
| _fbp | Meta Pixel browser identifier | Marketing | Third-party | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta Pixel click identifier | Marketing | Third-party | 90 days |
5) Third-party providers
When you consent to analytics or marketing cookies, certain third-party providers may set cookies or receive events from your browser. Providers commonly used in this context include:
- Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager)
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel, advertising measurement)
- Cloudflare (security and performance services, which may process IP-based threat signals)
We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes. They act as service providers and advertising partners in connection with the services we enable.
6) How to manage cookie preferences
You can manage cookie preferences at any time by selecting “Manage cookie preferences” in the website footer. This will reopen the cookie banner and allow you to adjust analytics and marketing cookies. Your choice is stored in a cookie (cookie_consent) for up to 12 months unless you clear your cookies sooner.
You may also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, and you can often configure rules for specific sites. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may not function as expected.
In addition, some providers offer opt-out tools:
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
- Google Ads settings
- Meta ad preferences
- Your Online Choices (EU)
7) Updates to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we may also provide a visible notice on our website for a reasonable period.
